Ava

Ava just turned 2! How wonderful for her!  We pray she will grow towards righteousness all her days!  In case you’re wondering why the dirty face? Well, she’s a little girl. Playing is fun and getting dirty is what happens when you play and eat, and Ava embraces it! She’s awesome.Avabday1thumb

Welcome Amelie Eden!

I love photographing babies.
I love babies.
The Simko family had another baby! I took photos of their firstborn and now their second born. It is so exciting seeing families grow in numbers!
Here are some favorites from the session. I included ones that showed personality of their older daughter Gwendolyn. She made me laugh (so cute)!

The Radical Ones

Valentine’s Day is coming up & I truly would love to photograph people for it. If you would like studio work done, we do it, but prefer the great outdoors.  Here are some photos I took of our sons in preparation for Valentine’s Day. I hope you like them.

To explain a little about this session. . .I tried to teach my younger son how to say “I love you” in sign language, but he couldn’t keep his fingers that way, so we did a craft to create his hands (which were traced) to make it.  It worked out well.  My husband has a pet peeve about many things we’ve found on the internet of people thinking “I love you” in sign language is the devil sign or the “rock-on” type of symbol.  Just letting you know, this is “I love you”. . .the pinky sticking up stands for “I” in sign language, “L” is the index and thumb out which love begins with the letter, and the letter “y” is holding out a thumb and a pinky in which “you” begins with. . put them all together and this is the sign for “I love you”.  You could always do it the long way of the “I” pinky standing out with the rest of the fingers held against your chest, crossing your arms over your chest for “love” and pointing out with your index finger for “you”. but someone along the way created a shortened version.  Now you know!

As for the Jesus tattoo: I originally had one made that said “mom”.  I didn’t want to draw my son’s arm because he is really ticklish and I feared it would get ruined.  I figure that I wouldn’t want my son to have my name tattooed on him ever, but Jesus is the coolest, so I’d be proud of him getting any tattoos that show his love for Christ.  What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than loving the One who allow us to love. I told him to look tough in the last shot. . .that was the best he could do.
